The Indie-Verse on 105.3-HD2 and online at indie-verse.com is the home of Indie Rock music in Dallas, TX and is now also the home of the minor league baseball team, the Frisco RoughRiders.
Because of this unique position in the market, CBS Radio has been able to bring additional revenue to the bottom line through this channel. Promoters like Live Nation, C3 Presents, and AEG Live are using The Indie-Verse to promote their concerts involving independent bands that other stations simply won’t touch. It’s an inexpensive way to reach a highly targeted group of music fans.
Some concerts promoted exclusively on The Indie-Verse lately include Depeche Mode, Peter, Bjorn, and John in August of 2008 and Los Campesinos and Tapes ‘n Tapes.
The Indie-Verse has also presented a number of shows at venues like The Granada, House of Blues, The Loft, and Club Dada in Dallas.
